Don't forget: Advising is mandatory!
Get to know all things advising! Check out the COMM Department Advising Page.
Shout out to our wonderful COMM Advisors, Merceadez Marion and Maritza Velasquez-Paolucci!
Fall Drop-in Advising resumes the week of September 1. No appointment necessary!
*Special appearance by COMM Testudo on the first day of advising, Sept. 3! Come get your photos!*
Remember that students who have completed 45-55 credits and seniors who have completed 86-100 credits have mandatory advising in both the College of Arts and Humanities and the communication department.
Note: New students needing to create an academic plan (i.e. your first semester at the University) should schedule a Zoom appointment outside of drop-ins.
When is advising?
- Virtual: Each Tuesday (10am-12pm): sign in!
- In-Person: Each Wednesday (1-3pm): Skinner 2101E
How virtual drop-ins advising work:
- Sign in: Using our Virtual Drop-in Form, which is only open during virtual drop-ins every Tues from 10 AM-12 PM.
- Join: After you submit the form, you will receive a Zoom link to join us.
- Quick Sessions: Each advising session is only a max of 10 minutes long. We’ll assist students in the order of entry into Zoom, so hang tight in the waiting room until it's your turn.
Don't miss this opportunity to clarify your academic path and ensure you're meeting all necessary requirements. We look forward to seeing you there! Let's make your Communication journey a success! 🎓
