Kalee stated that the role allowed her to "grow both professional and creatively." She had a variety of duties, including "collaborating with [her] mentor and the marketing team to prepare for upcoming games, from crafting promotional graphics to planning engaging themed giveaways, such as pink ribbons for Breast Cancer Awareness and tote bags celebrating 50 years of Maryland Field Hockey."

Kalee also played an important role on game days, when she "served as the lead intern, managing music production, queuing the announcer, and ensuring a seamless game-day experience."
During the fall season, one of her internship highlights was working the Big Ten Championship, "an unforgettable moment in a historic season where Maryland finished 2nd in the Big Ten, 5th nationally in Division I, and 2nd in average game day attendance within the Big Ten."
