UMD PRSSA to Co-Host ICON 2025

This is a great opportunity to network with professionals in PR as well as fellow students right here in Washington D.C.

UMD Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) will co-host ICON with students from American University and Howard University. 

The conference will be held at the Washington Hilton (near Dupont Circle, 1917 Connecticut Ave NW), from October 27-30, 2025. 

ICON is the largest annual Conference for communications, marketing, and public relations in the U.S. This event brings together hundreds of students and professionals from around the world for professional development and networking.

Attendees will get to hear from the leading industry experts, network with other students as well as practitioners currently working in the field, and attend PRSA ICON general sessions. There is an impressive lineup of speakers on the student-centered agenda.

Two UMD PR students, Alex Spencer and Briana May, were on the planning committee. They helped organized nine sessions with speakers on a variety of topics from News Media to Tech to Travel to Sports PR. See the Conference website for more information!
