Lee, Liu Receive Seed Grants

Only ARHU faculty members to receive these campus grants.
Congratulations to Assistant Professor Sun Young Lee and Professor Brooke Fisher Liu on receiving Coronavirus Research Seed Grants from the University of Maryland. Lee and Liu were the only ARHU faculty members to receive seed grants.
Lee's grant will support a project entitled "How Companies Are Responding to the Coronavirus Pandemic: Their Roles, Strategies, and Effectiveness in Promoting the Public Good," and Liu's will support a project entitled "Universities’ Coronavirus Crisis Management: Challenges, Opportunities, and Initial Lessons Learned." In related news, Dr. Liu has also recently been appointed to a National Academies panel exploring community resilience to floods.
