Associate Professor Lindsey Anderson receives Faculty-Student Research Award from the UMD Graduate School
Congratulations to Associate Professor Lindsey Anderson for receiving a 2022-2023 Faculty-Student Research Award (FSRA) from the University of Maryland's Graduate School. FSRA Awards replace the former Research and Scholarship Awards (RASA) and Creative and Performing Arts Awards (CAPAA) and seek to support a wide variety of faculty research, scholarship, and creative projects that provide unique opportunities to mentor and support graduate students.
Dr. Anderson's FSRA project is titled A Communicative Examination of Students' Experiences with Intergenerational Communication in Mediated Classroom Contexts. Working with doctoral student Drew Ashby-King, Dr. Anderson will administer qualitative questionnaires and conduct interviews with college students to understand how age-based and generational stereotypes emerge through the intergenerational interactions (e.g., communication between instructors and students) that occur in online/hybrid classrooms.
