Ph.D Alum Dr. Sung-Un Yang presented "Linking Organization-Public Dialogic Communication to Organization-Public Relationship Management." 

Faculty members, students, alumni, and friends of the department attended (virtually and in-person) the 16th Annual Grunig Lecture on Wednesday, March 13th. Dr. Sung-Un Yang, Ralph Winslow Professor of the IU Media School and UMD Department of Communication Ph.D. alum (2005), delivered the annual lecture, discussing the topic "Linking Organization-Public Dialogic Communication to Organization-Public Relationship Management."

Dr. Yang was introduced by Dr. James Grunig. The lecture series honors Dr. James E. Grunig, Professor Emeritus, and Dr. Larissa A. Grunig, Professor Emerita, of the University of Maryland. 

In addition to the lecture, Leah Weiss, senior Communication major, was awarded the Toth Outstanding PR Student of the Year Award and Dr. Sung-Un Yang was bestowed the Grunig Alumni Excellence Award.
