Susan Whyte Simon

Susan Whyte Simon, APR, Fellow PRSA has been teaching at the University of Maryland for the last six years.  This semester Susan is teaching COMM 483 Senior Seminar in Public Relations, COMM 350 PR Theory and COMM 354 Public Relations Campaigns. She serves as an advisor for the Bateman Competition Team and the PRSSA chapter.

Earlier in her career, Susan worked in public relations for large agencies, health care organizations and Fortune 500 corporations including Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States, Hilton Hotels and PacifiCare Health Systems as well as Ketchum and MSL Group.

Susan is an alumnae of the University of Southern California, where she earned her B.A. and M.P.R. from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.  She returned to USC as an adjunct professor teaching classes in principles of PR, media relations and PR programs. She is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America and a PRSA Fellow.
