Jana Sabri is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Communication on the Rhetoric and Political Culture Track. Jana grew up in Dallas, TX, earning a double B.A. in Communication Studies and Political Science at the University of North Texas. Her research interests include digital media, rhetoric, and diasporic communities. Specifically, Jana is interested in themes of public deliberation, counterpublics, and identity negotiation within online spaces. Jana currently teaches COMM 107 at the University of Maryland.
