Faith Afua Otchere is a first-year Ph.D. student specializing in Public Relations and Strategic Communication. She completed her M.A. in Communication and Development Studies from Ohio University. Before this, Faith earned her M.Phil. in Communication and Media Studies (Business Communication) from the University of Education, Winneba-Ghana, and her B.A. in Communication Studies (Public Relations and Advertising) from the Ghana Institute of Journalism. Faith’s research is an intersection of development communication through media campaigns, health communication, gender, and strategic communication. Her just ended research explored the (mis)representation of trafficked women in the Ghanaian media and the transformative and regenerative narratives of the ‘trafficked’ women who resist the negative media representation of their lives.
