Courtnee Connon is a first year PhD student in the Public Relations and Strategic Communication track. She earned her M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communication in 2018 and her B.S. in Public Relations in 2015 from Florida State University. Before starting at UMD, Courtnee served as a communications professional for state and national environmental advocacy organizations in Florida and Washington, D.C., respectively. Her research interests surround political and environmental communications, specifically the influence of climate and environmental justice messaging on voter attitudes and behaviors. Courtnee is a graduate teaching assistant for COMM 250 (Intro to Comm Inquiry) at the University of Maryland.
