Chenchen Wang is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Maryland. Before joining UMD, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Queensland and a Master's degree in Global Media Communication from the University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on promoting public understanding of science and exploring the role of emerging technologies in enhancing science communication. In addition to her academic pursuits, she is actively involved in promoting science communication in society. She is the founder of the Wang & Tangang Foundation, a World Bank MTE China Climate Ambassador, and a member of the UNCCD Youth Caucus Group. She has also participated in COP28 and has experience working at the United Nations and in journalism.
